well got the doors and hinges mounted this weekend. Im pretty happy with the non-skid, it feels nice on the feet, a little hard on the knees though. i thought it would cover up more of my poor carpentry skills than what it did, but oh well. When i get the wood and more non skid to do the rest of the boat i will have to go back and fill more cracks where it fell through when it dried and "mud cracked" from globbing it on too thick around the edges. A lot more to do but i've used up about all the supplies i have for now. I still have to get new latches and mount the trolling motor. Been working on the old merc and i think it'll be a nice easy fix. I also have been drawing up ideas for a console. Im thinking about a small center console with seating on the rear deck. More to come. Thanks. everyone.

I've been on the dry dock for too long and I had to wet a line or go crazy. I know this is a restoration thread but I have to show off to the northerners who are waiting on the snow melt. The wife's got a cold so I offered to get the kids out the house. After work I ran them to my parents house and ran down the street to my old stomping grounds.

wow....i knew snook swam up lots of the rivers in central america but didn't realize they had em in Okeechobee......very nice!

and don't worry, post all the fish pix you like and i doubt anyone here will complain.

We get a lot more saltwater fish than a lot of people know about in the caloosahatchee in Moore. Haven. Mainlysnook,tarpon, and jack crevelle. I've never actually caught them out on lake o but I know they are out there. When we had a bad cold snap in 2010 I saw several floaters on the lake that couldnt handle the cold. They closed snook season for 3 years because so many were killed. Now I've got snook fever and season is only open March and April then closed till September. Theres nothing like a 40 in snook busting a topwater plug on a bass rod with 12lb line.

Gotta love the smell of two stroke in the morning. I am a johnnyrude fan myself butt really will drive any good running motor that gets me on the water. Ive even been known to drive a few not so good running motors those were mostly merc. Of course i did run the carp out of an evinrude electric shift for 3 years so who am i to discriminate
