I found out that what i thought was a 1985 Suzi 140 turns out its a 1993. So with this in mind, when I put the engine in gear, forward or reverse it conks out. Fortunately my neutral safety switch is broken and I can push the throttle a little forward and crank and go, but it sucks when your trying to net bait.

I see that when of the three linkages, one for gear and the two that open the throttles (upper and lower) move when pushed, which one is to adjusted to up the idle?

On my little boat with an Evinrude 50 I have a wheel to adjust. On the Suzi, I have on the lower linkage a brass bar and on the upper I see a bolt that can be screwed back.

Which one do I adjust?

Thanks

there should be a small phillips head idle adjustment screw on your carb linkeage, very simple to adjust...just do it after your motor is warmed up. most motors idle in the 750 to 850RPM range. Good Luck!
