I am new here and hoping someone can help. I have a 1994 40HP Force Outboard by Mercury. It has never shot a stream of water out the two holes on the back of the motor, but until recent I have not had an issue. Last fall it decided to make a loud beep and stall the motor, after I ran it for about 8-10 minutes. A call to the local repair shop says it could be the overheat, the beeper or the water pump/impeller. At his rates and prices, I did not want him to replace all the parts. Is there any way to test the overheat? and I need to know what impeller kit to buy... the SN looks like E0E41678.. (the second E must be something else, but cant really tell) AND also how much water should be coming out those two holes at the back of the motor??
Thanks for all your help.

Hello:

I don't meaqn to be mean about this, but your engine had very little to do with Mercury/Mariner. Your questions really belong in the Force/Chrysler forum.

****************MOD'S, Please move to the Force/Chrysler forum. Thanks*************

I posted the question here because this is the Force made by Mercury. NOT the Force made by Chrysler.... I was not sure which one to post to. Thanks
