I have a dumb question, I am winterizing my 94 Bayliner, with matching 94 Force 120 outboard. I got the proper gear oil pump thing to put the oil in the leg, I have pumped a full bottle (1L) into the leg, and I am not getting anything coming out of the top 2 vent plugs yet. Did some of these motors have a leg oil capacity greater than 1L? There is no oil running out of anywhere.

There are three versions of 120's LU. 1990~92 has 0.77 liter capacity; 93~94 has 1.04 liter while the 95~99 as 0.67 liter capacity. You might want to verify you do not actually have the 93~94 which has a little more than 1 liter capacity.

I have read you pump till it pukes, then wait a few hours (overnight?) for the air bubbles inside to dissipate. Then pump again.
(well, waiting never made a difference to me. It only took another oz and it was puking again....)

My unit has a fill/vent hole and a drain.
I fill it from one then the other till it pukes out everywhere.
Can't afford to buy/find/look for another.
Got 2 setting out back.Just need to take the guts from one and install in the other.
