1994 Wellcraft Coastal 238 - Boat Schematic, Wiring Diagram & Fuel Indicator

Hello all, new to the site, looks great! Hope you can help as some of the equipment and indicators are in need of repair. I recently purchased the boat and am in need of the boats schematic and wiring diagram. <br /><br />There are 3 pumps in the back of boat, one is for bait wells, the other is for fresh water, the third I am not sure of because of the multiple outlets (salt water wash down?). <br /><br />I also need the wiring diagram that correlates with the wiring tag numbers. The instrumentation lights do not work as well as some other electrical items.<br /><br />The fuel gauge on the dash and the tank do not work. I assume a part on the tank needs replacing, any thoughts?<br /><br />Thanks everyone, I appreciate any help you can provide.

Pete - Any chance of finding out and contacting the dealer who originally sold the boat? Many items installed on a boat are installed by the selling dealer (called outfitting) and are options ordered by the buyer.<br /><br />You can check the fuel tank sending unit (and other stuff that doesn't work) with a volt/ohm meter. Check it before you replace it.

I own your boat. Twin Johnson 150's. Love it!!<br /><br />I believe I have all the documentation. <br /><br />The third is most likely the livewell recirc/washdown. The "Cooler" On the port side should have an overflow tube and a drain. The grey valve switches to the saltwater washdown or the baitwell. <br /><br />The fishbox in the floor has its own pump. It's no fun to change. Keep a strainer on it at all times. The pump sticks easily with any debris.

Just FYI, if you dont have an ohmmeter, you can jump across the terminals on the sending unit. If the gauge is good, it will go to full. If this is the case, you know the sending unit is at fault. If it does not go to full, you either have a gauge or wiring issue.

I noticed when the boat bounced in the water real hard the guages would work. I wonder if its a faulty float rather than the tank guage? I will check the tank guage first, thanks.

Rich,<br />Yes I love it too, nice layout for family fun & fishing. Do you have the original book on the boat itself, where it has the wiring diagrams, switches, pumps, access., etc.? I have the boats owners manual, but it is very basic boat maintenace stuff, has no wiring diagrams. <br /><br />As far as the 3 pumps in the back, I figured out the pump on the left (starboard) is for the port side baitwell, but I did not know where to connect the salt water washdown to (on the pump directly?). I will look for the grey valve/switch on the pump, maybe I will find an outlet to connect a hose. The pump on the right (port side) I figured is for the fresh water sink. The pump in the middle must be for the floor fish box but it has 2 outlets (left/right), which goes where?<br /><br />Any help is appreciated!
