When I start the engine, and run it at an idle, it runs great but when try to rev it, it acts like the timing is off. I have tried to rule out fuel and I know it is firing on all cylinders. I went as far as to remove the linkage that is connected to the pulser coil trigger and try to adjust the timing advance and this does not seem to improve anything. When it is at a higher RPM it sounds like it is missing and doing a little backfiring and the higher I push the throttle, the worse it gets until it will just cut out. at an idle, with the linkage disconnected, I when I move the pulsar coil trigger, the RPM?s change. So I guess it is not that. I have two video clips with sound I can email to show want it sounds and looks like at an idle and at half throttle. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like a fuel restriction from the description.

I am checking into the fuel idea. I do have shop manual, it just seems to lack alot in the area of trouble shooting. Thanks.
