I have a 1995 Bayliner Capri 1700 LS with a 1995 outboard Force 120. It trims up and down just fine, however when its trimmed to the up position, it slowly drops down. I would say it takes about 5-8 minutes for it to go from fully up to fully down.
I assume there is an internal seal or o-ring that is faulty. Can someone please help me with steps to troubleshoot this problem? I did check the hydraulic fluid in the fully up position and it is full with a clear oil.
I attached a photo of the hydraulic setup. Can someone please explain the funtions of both of the cylinders shown in the photo? Is one the pump and the other the electric motor? Please help me figure this out and fixed before the season!
Thanks!
