Does anyone know how to convert a serial # into a model #. My serial # is G03876829.
Im trying to buy parts and don't know the model #. This motor is new to me and I can't find any ID plates on the motor itself. Its a 1995 Johnson V6, 2 stroke 200HP.

If you know it is a 95 model then ordering parts would be easy.-----Depends on what parts you need.----Most parts are the same from one to the other except shaft length / counter rotating parts.----Post a picture if graphics are unmolested.

If you go to the BRP parts catalog http://shop.evinrude.com/

Select "Johnson " then 1995 and finally 200hp you will get a list of 6 models with various rotation, shaft length, styling and trim and tilt options. Select the appropriate model number.

If XS power has found a site which cross-references serial numbers with specific model numbers that would be good to know about. Gotta link.
