1995 Johnson 28SPL Back-up Pull Cord

I have a Johnson 28SPL. We had it out on the lake this weekend and had an issue with the key so it wouldn't turn over. Finally figured it out, but got me to thinking.

It looks like my motor could accept a pull cord. Does anyone have directions on making one? Or possibly somewhere I could buy one.

Here you go, #49. Most people don't even know one is in the little pouch attached to the inside of the hood.

Thanks. Gonna have to get one.

Very uncomfortable sitting 1/2 mile off shore with a motor that won't crank!

Been there, done that. You could make one, go to a small engine repair shop, I bet they would have the rope and handle you need.
