Ok here goes.
I have a 96 75 HP Force/MERC outboard and have no spark.
I took it to a local shop and the said it was the stator and would charge $700 plus to fix.
Well I know how to read and turn a wrench so I purchased a new stator and installed it, still no spark.
I also check both stators as directed in the TS guides and it seems both are good.
The old had 600 ohm the new over 700 but still no spark.
I performed all the test suggested disconnecting wires and turning the motor over but still no spark. (full charge on Batt, kill switch, pulled yellow wires from stator, swaped CDM plugs and unpluged CDM)
I just ordered a new trigger assembly and could this be the problem?

Yep<
I figured the Trigger but did not know if it would produce a no spark condition on all 3 plugs.
I checked and unplugged the kill switch but no change.
Also I checked resistance on the kill with a multimeter setting with buzzer and it was intermentent
with key on. I will change that also with the remainder of the ING system.

It is possible for one bad CDM to cause a 'no spark' on the others.

Disconnect one CDM and test spark on the other two, alternate CDM's and repeat.

Repost results.

I completed the CDM disconnect test along with the other disconnect test and still no spark.
I am in the process of getting a DVM adapter to test the AC output but was wondering will a trigger cause the same no spark problem.
