I know in a recent post i had stated that i had a 1986 DT 140, due to fat fingers i accidentally hit the wrong number and didnt catch it till just now....sorry. This is my situation, I have a 1996 DT140 with a 13 pitch prop( i think) on a 17' Glasstream bass boat. I can get right at 55mph out of it at about 4800 rpm and thats all she's got. Dont get me wrong, when i hit the hotfoot it jumps out of the hole good, really good. What size prop would be able to get close to the same results on take off but give me higher top end? I say i think on the prop size because the guy that had the boat before me must have been in some pretty gnarly stuff because thats the only number i can see on the prop.
