Hi,

I've some sort of connection/relay issues with my motor. At first I thought it had to do with my sticky tilt/trim relay switch but it seems to be something else. At first I would turn the key and the tach would come on. Then I'd continue turning to start then I'd hear a click and sometimes a sparking type noise come from the engine and then the tach would turn off and no power. In the beginning I'd still have tilt/trim and then I'd push the switch up and down a little, try the key again and I'd get the tach to come on and I could start it. Right afterwards it would do the same thing. Now the tilt/trim isn't working either. Just no power. Battery is new, horn, nav lights, radio and GPS work fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this? Any help will be appreciated!

TIA!

That "sparking noise" from the motor sounds like a bad, loose or corroded electrical connection...check all cable connections by removing each one, clean with 3m scotch rite pad, grease lightly, then tighten....ground connections and on side of starter would be a good place to look....good luck!
