1997 60* 90HP Evin.

Just getting into this problem. Some pointers will be helpful. Motor starts up and runs normally. Will not go much beyond 2K RPM on load and then cuts to idle or spits and cuts out. The oil pump has been disconnected by previous owner and now on 50:1. Carbs have been cleaned prior. One cylinder down to 105.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Is the cut out s.l.o.w. kicking In? Does it think it is overheating? Any lights on the system check gauge? Any warning tone? Have you ever seen it run well? What are the other 3 cylinders at?

Update.
Too cold to work on it much but I have checked the Comps now and all cylinders are up around 140.
Lesson, don't believe all you are told.
More checks to come when we get past the brass monkey weather.
