I'm trying to order the throttle / shift cables for my 7.4L but can't seem to find the right ones. I don't have the serial number on me and what I'm finding for the 23' cables is 8M0052694 which from what I've seen is for up to 60hp engines. Can anyone point me to the right cables?

Thanks.

23 footers would fit almost a 32-34 size boat. best to remove the cable and measure it . there will be a difference in length on throttle and shift . you dont want a lot of excess ,it causes stiff operation
Depending on your exact situation , leave a pull cord when you remove the cable

your existing cable should have the length printed on the jacket about every foot or so.

I pulled the cables and they had either 22' or 23' printed on them. I think because of it being a side mount controller and the location there has to be a loop in the cables in order for them to get under the floor and down the gunwale. Probably not the best way to do it, but that's the way it was done from the factory.
