In the research i have done, i have found the 60 degree looper v4 95-2003 showing 21 1/4. Which if thats correct...that would mean i would have to thread my shift rod in therefore engaging the forward farther when installed?
One further question. It appears i found that measurement and didnt notice that it was for a 20in shaft. Im pretty sure mine is not a short shaft. How do i figure out what length driveshaft my outboard is so i can try to find the correct measurement?
They did not market that motor as a " short shaft "----Your model # has the information you need.------The " shaft length " does not refer to the actual length of the driveshaft.
Got it back together. Shift arm is vertical to crank case. Everything seems much better. Water test to come wednesday. I truly appreciate all of your help!! Will post results
