1997 Merc (force?) no pee (telltale)?????

Posted this before but had wrong year. I am not sure if this is considered a merc or a force. The serial is Oe271423 It is a 40 Hp ELPT that came stock on a Tracker 17' aluminum bass boat and there is NO pee hose on this thing anywhere! is this correct or has it been plugged at some point in the past? This is one of my best friends motors and it is bugging the heck outta me that he can't tell if he's pumping good or not. If there is not one, is there any way I can add one to this engine for peace of mind. The warning horn does work, although you can barely hear it. We will be replacing it shortly with a better horn for safety's sake.

I did tashas.. I cant make heads or tales of it in regards to the pee hole!

Also if I am looking at that right.the 40 is the same engine and power head as the 50 and the only difference is the carb?? can that possibly be right?
