If the carbs are flooding when you squeeze the primer bulb, then there is a problem with the needle valve in the carb(s). Either there is some debris stuck between the needle valve and the seat, the float level is set too high, or the rubber tip on the needle valve is bad.
Not to sound like uncle money bags or anything but I had squeeze bulb issues on my 1987 and I think that it was the orginal fuel line. I was 10 mins and $25 to replace the line. While it didn't fix my problem I do fuel good knowing that I don't have to deal with that for a while.
