hi guys, glad i found this forum, this problem is driving me crazy
whenever i take my boat out, it starts up just fine, and runs fine at low rpm (like 2000 and below or so) and for the first few minutes (like 5-10) it has all of its usual power (i can go WOT, 1/2, etc). After that it makes loud chirping under more than 1/5 load, and will stumble and chirp like crazy until it almost dies or i throttle back. full throttle might net 2200 rpm
I had a mechanic look at it, he cleaned the carbs, chucked on a water separator, etc, and recommended i replace the thermostat, so i did, same problem.
the overheat buzzer has also not come on
is this a lean chirp, or something else, because it only happens when the engine is heated, or is this some oil sensor issue, if so can i disconnect it to stop limp and premix? or something else?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
