I have a 1998 130 Evinrude. Below my bottom carb on the passenger side on the intake there is some kind of brass valve screwed into the intake cover. It has a large line coming from it going to the Oil pump. It also has a vacume line coming out of it that has come loose and I cant find where it goes. Also my NO OIL light is on and wont go off. Thought the 2 might be related. I am getting oil as my motor has smoke coming from it.
I would like to find where the vacume line goes before I look into the NO OIL
light any further. Any help would be appreciated. I have looked everywhere for a place to plug the vacume line and I cant find it.

My bad. After looking closer the vacume lins is not on the valve it is the bottom vacume line coming out of the intake on the front of the motor. Still cant find where it goes. I did notice my motor is smoking a little more than it should but that is another problem.

If it is a small hose 1/4 '' OD it probably goes to your air box on the bottom side.

It is very hard to understand what you are describing. Oil pump? Brass fitting?
But anyway, here is my suggestion.

Probably not a "vacuum" line. Probably a loose primer line. Turn the red primer solenoid lever to manual, pump the bulb, and look for where the gas is leaking. Connect the hose back up to that point.

This vacume line comes from the bottom of the block on the front.
All of the lines are on the primer and the line that goes to the air box is there. This vacume line is about 16"" long so it could go anywhere.
All vacume lines on the back of the carbs and on the primer (3)are there.

Re: 1998 130 evinrude vacume line

On my V6s, there are two lines to the air silencer. The one at the bottom has a nipple that it attaches to, the one at the top just pokes into an open 5/16" hole in the plastic silencer body. The hoses are diagonally opposite in their location on the air silencer. This may be the hose you are looking at...the top left corner of the back of the air silencer. If there is an open hole there, a hose goes in it.

That is exactly where it goes. Thank you very much for the help. Saved my a ton of time trying to figure it out.
