So I ordered a new head gasket and I'm curious to know what others thoughts are. Its got like a thin white sealant bead as you can see from the pics my question is this. the manual calls for the tab on the top of the gasket to by on the port side of the engine but this would make the bead facing the outward or towards the head. it looks like the bead should face inwards towards the cylinders the gasket holes line up either way but the cut seems like its made more for for bead facing out hope all that makes sense. whats yall's experience here? this is a sierra gasket btw and calls for no extra sealant.
