Having the same issue with my belt walking off. I know this is an old post but I’m curious if I can receive any help!
I found that the bottom mounting bracket for the alternator is as broken I removed it and welded it back together and put it back in. The alternator isn’t producing the power it should be so it needs replaced but I wouldn’t think that it would make the belt walk off . Would it? My water pump seems ok, the pulley turns freely, it has a small whine while turning it with my hand is that an indication that it may have a bad bearing ?
