1998 suntracker partybarge 25 foot

New to the forum and just bought my first pontoon!!, 98 suntracker 25 foot partybarge with 120 tracker motor, boat is in really good shape but the graphics on the side are pretty bad(peeling and chipping and not in some places...any ideas on how to get new one or other suggestions? also i need to repaint the dash and redo the steering wheel leather eventually to freshen it up..any suggestions on that as well? thanks!

Post pics! My partybarge is a couple years older, but probably very similar to it. As far as the side fences, those are just painted on generally. Its relatively easy to redo those, just blast, and repaint with whatever you want on it. The console isn't painted, it is vinyl covered. Recovering it will probably cost the same or more than a new console, unless you do it yourself. And steering wheel, just replace it if you want, they are cheap.

The best tip I have is to remember that sunlight destroys vinyl. I've seen pontoon interiors trashed in a year or two of constant outdoor exposure. Keep the interior under covers/tarps when you aren't using it.

Thanks for the reply...i just need the vinyl logos again that say suntracker and the long pinstripes that are wide, also on the console im not talking about the bottom vinyl cover im talking about the hard plastic that the windshield mounts to.

Welcome to the world of tooning! I have a 1998 21 ft' partybarge similar to yours. I got new decals for my boat at http://greatlakesskipper.com/category-1/40_559-boat-decals-pinstriping-and-graphics-tracker.html. They are also available at your tracker dealer. Vinyl paint (autozone or reileys) will do a nice job on your console. Good luck and welcome again to the party barge world

Great Lakes Skipper has some graphics at great prices--if they'll suit your needs.

You can also get your local sign shop to custom design graphics to put on your fencing. They design the prints on a computer, and then use a giant printer to make the stick on graphics.

Go to gotshadeonline.com they will make an design you want and ship it to you. They do all my custom work .They aren't open on sundays or monday's but you can see what they do on the internet. Look under wraps or partical wraps. on the right side of the first page. My PT cruiser is they It's the one with the marine in the back window.

Welcome to iboats,

I second the local vinyl/sign guy, you can work directly with him and get exactly what you want and it will be on par cost wise to what you can get them anywhere else and you don't need to install them.

I worked in a sign shop years ago and trying to work a giant sticker like that can be a real challenge.

For the steering wheel I would pole around on Ebay, has to be something there.

thanks for all the great help...glad to be a part of the forum!....i am kinda scared about the motor being a force 120, i have heard some negative (and postive) things about this motor....what can i do to it after each use to insure it will store properly since gas has ethanol in it now, any other maintenance tips??

Storing isn't an issue. There are several posts on here concerning storing. Stabil treatment will become your friend. The motor is designed to take ethenol blend gas. I run it through the season but always store it with Shell premium which is ethenol free.

A 1998 motor is designed for sitting with gas in the carb all the time with ethanol??
