I have a 1992 hydra sports cc 2000 w a 175 ocean runner Johnson outboard. Top speed is 33mph thru gps at @4800 rpm cruises at 28-30mph at almost 4k rpm. The prop is a alum 15x17 could I possibly get more speed outta her? Also any ideas on my boats specs? I.e. fuel capacity and all that. I can't find anything and haven't put fuel in it yet (bought it a few weeks back w a full tank. Prev owner said 95 gal fuel tank thanks

As a general rule there is only 2 ways to get more speed out of a boat. More power and or less weight.
You didn't post if that 33 mph at 4800 was at WOT, if yes, then you could go to a 15p prop, but it may not get you more speed but better out of the hole. If no, then you need to test that.

You want to be able to run WOT and not over rev the engine, but still have a decent hole shot, or have a great hole shot and just be mindful of the rpm's. You can rarely have both.
Remember that most people don't run at WOT all the time so I prefer to get the hole shot and limit myself on the speed.
