1999 25hp,pulls to one side?

hello
just replaced the power head on this motor.
got the motor for next to nothing and got the 2002 power head cheap.

running like a scalded dog on this 1977 14' star craft.got the boat for $225.

i broke a little piece off the lower unit(wish i hadn't) and im wondering if that is making it pull to one side.its a tiller handle and it is wearing my arm out holding it straight.

the motor is centered and ive adjusted the anode thingy as far as it will go.

if it is the piece i broke off,can it be welded?

A prop repair shop can weld that back on but I'm having a hard time believing that is what is causing the pull. Are you sure you are not turning the trim tab the wrong way?

yeah,the other way makes it worse.

it the prop spinning free and straight. the tab wont make it turn enough to feal it how is the skeg is it bent at all.

Any good local welder can fix that 'lil ding

Running like a scalded dog will wear your arm out

Hows the trim? Maybe bring her up a notch or two. Engine height up a notch too? Running too deep can make steering really tough.

good idea.ill trim it up a notch or two and see how she goes.

I have an new (for me)84 25hp Evinrude with the severe pull to the right problem. Do I have a trim tab on the motor?

i fixed mine by trimming the motor up a couple notches.
