Boat has always run fine. On a recent trip to the lake the boat started out running fine and then began losing power during operation. Didn't die, almost sounded as if it was flooding. Any time I tried to throttle back up it continued to bog down. Starts fine and will idle fine. Also, if you stop the motor for a long period of time and then fire it up it will run fine for some time(sometimes a while sometimes short period) before it begins losing power.

Any suggestions where to start or what may be causing this are appreciated.

I would pull the spark plugs and see if they are wet, worn, or dirty and replace if needed. Can you squeeze the prime bulb and make it better or worst?

If it is flooding you may need to rebuild carbs and float adjustments. Some of your info leads towards something plugging carbs or fuel line.

If plugs and prime bulb test don't help or show anything, I would do a compression check and spark test after the engine is warm and starts acting up.

Good luck

Its easy to forget.

I appreciate the response. I hope it is something as simple as that. I'll check it.

Last time I had the problem I did try the prime bulb and it I did have immediate success with that, coincidental or not. The next time the boat lost power I tried the prime bulb again and didn't have the same success or if I did it wasn't as dramatic to make it as noticeable.

Thanks for the suggestions.
