1999 75 hp mercury force

have a 1999 mercury force 75 hp. boat runs about 41 42 mph when running right. but lately took it out and had great holeshot then starts bogging down gets down about 16- 18 mph and slugish took to the boat shop cleaned carbs said that its fine but take back out samething. what should i look at next. still acts like fuel to me what do guys think thanks mike

To many things....unless you took the carbs apart, you didn't clean them...check for spark on all cylinders...Could be high side of Stator gone...could be coils, could be switch box....Could be the fuel pump give the crap gas we have...As you can see unless you have a shop manual and are willing to do numerous tests and cleanings it could be anything..I can tell you that spark and compression are the first things to do and then go forward from there... It can be a bit much if you don't have the experience and patience to do testing per the book.

This might sound dum but my force was doing the same and checked the primer valve and it was stuck open. So i disconnected and worked fine .

Look at:the tank vent(bugs get in and clogg the line), fuel pump9torn diaphram),any inline connectors(sucking air), soft hoses(ethanol is ruining the hoses and making them soft/mushy).
