1999 90Hp johnson gearcase speedo pickup picks needed.

Hello,<br />I have a '99 90Hp johnson with a gearcase speedo pickup, now i have to route a small hose from the lower leg to my speedometer.<br />Is there somebody that can send me some detailed photo's on what route i have to follow to get the hose to the upper part of my engine ?<br /><br />Thanks

I dont have any pics but we've just always ran the hose up the midsection and into the pan. Be careful not to pinch the hose going into the pan. From there we just run it beside the wiring harness to up under the dash.

Thanks, Could i route the tube next to the shift rod all the way up into the pan ?

Hummmm.....interesting thought. I'm not sure if the grommett would pinch it or not. Or if it would hold it open and possibly let water in. Youd have to allow clearance for the moving parts too.<br /><br />One way to find out....let us know how it works.
