1999 ficht 200 starting issues

Hey guys. Buddy of mine has a 200 ficht. It'll crank all day in neutral but it won't bust off. If you push the throttle only lever a little forward it pops off and idles good bring it back to neutral and it dies. Won't start back up without advancing the lever again.

This is an issue as the engine won't run when started in this manner. Puts it in slow mode or whatever its called where it limits the rpms.


Any idea where we should start looking?

Check the TPS for being set correctly.
