I recently found a loose venturi in one of my carbs..the other two were caked up with some nasty crystal-like matter.

I just acquired the boat, it has been sitting, but low hours. The dealer said I need 3 new carbs.

Is it true you cannot purchase the flow/atomizing components for OMB carbs?

The full kits a $15 each.
You can soak them in carb cleaner.
What are you going to do about the guy who is trying to rip you off?

A loose venturi or a loose nozzle ?-----------A dealer has to guarantee his work.-------You yourself do not--------Perhaps find a shop that will ultrasonically clean these carburetors if you take them apart.---------Then assemble them and test run the motor.

Every carb job ive ever seen done has being guaranteed and the only one needing new carbs had the wrong ones previously installed

I looked at the rebuild kits, they don't appear to have these particular pieces.

I would simply take it to another dealer, but I can buy an ultrasonic parts cleaner for the cost and labor they want for rebuilds (250ea)..

Regardless, I bought another carb tripack for $60 on fleabay...just hoping I won't be in the same place in 3 days.

I hate having a set of perfectly good carbs with 38 hours on them sitting in the parts bin because I cant find $5 parts for them.

To clarify what parts - it is the brass tubes that go through the throat of the carb. Typically I would call them jets, but the dealer told me they're not jets.

No, they are not jets !---Just the nozzle that feeds fuel ( after it is metered by a jet ) into the low pressure area in the venturi.---Never need replacing so not on the parts list and no need for them to be.---Perhaps someone tampered with that one nozzle thinking it needed to be removed.
