1999 Merc. 25hp 2 stroke

Help !

I am having a problem with my 25 hp 2 stroke. It appears to be leaking water near the top of the telltale hose. Not from the hose or fitting itself, but from the bolts behind it. If I run it for afew minutes then take off the cowling there is a pool of water sitting in the bottom of the motor. If I tilt it forward all the warm water comes running out the front by the primer etc....

Is this easy to fix and is it ok to run it until I can fix it ? Duck season just started and I can't be down for too long.

It sounds like the thermostat housing gasket is leaking, so it really shouldn't hurt anything but it's a easy fix just remove the 2 bolts clean the surfaces and install a new gasket
