Hello All ,
THE MOTOR WILL START BUT SHUTS RIGHT DONW , WILL NOT RUN .CAN SOMEONE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOOR TROUBLE SHOOTING ?

THE MOTOR WILL START BUT SHUTS RIGHT DONW , WILL NOT RUN .CAN SOMEONE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOOR TROUBLE SHOOTING ?

Try the man overboard switch. If tripped it will run briefly but when key is taken off start to run position it will cut of ignition.

If that doesnt do it does it have 12 v on positive side of the coil when this happens? Can also try dribbling gas down carb to see if you can keep it running, just trying to determine if you are loosing gas or spark

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... Loose the cap-lock will ya,..??

Sounds like there's no power to the purple wires, ignition circuit on the motor,......
That power comes from the key switch at the helm,.....

Could be MOB switch, could be key switch.

Take a DVM and follow the purple wire from the key to the motor and figure where you loose voltage
