Another overheat alarm = Another head gasket on #1 cylder. ( the one with the O2 sensor) - low compression and water on plug!

This is the second time I have had a overheat alarm and blew this side?

I have fixed the overheat issue.... 1st time sucked a bag on the lower unit....... and this spring idleing 2 low at troll speed and had some crap in the Poppet valve.... That is all fixed now.

Is it common to overheat and cook that head gasket? This is the 2nd time in like 25 hours..... and it is the same side with a new Head gasket???

Seems kind of wimpy to me....... PLEASE CLUE ME IN >

THANKS YOU!

Replace the t-stats if you have not done so already. Check the head to see if it is warped. Also check for pinholes on the water side of the head. Are you using Yamaha gaskets?
