2.5 to 3.0 mercruiser swap.

the 2.5 is junk and a guy on craigslist has a 3.0 motor.will these motors swap ok.will the 2.5 manifolds fit the 3.0 etc.

Need more information on both engines. For example, what years are they?

the 2.5 is a 1984 and the 3.0 is a 1986.at least that's what they were in.

the major change is 1990/1991 when they went from 2-piece rear main seal to 1-piece.
