I currently moor the Formula 242, as there are no slips my local harbor. I could go up 1 or 2 harbors (10 minute drive) and slip the bigger boat there, I suppose . . . I'd have to figure that into the expense equation.
Getting a second mooring in my local harbor may take a bit of work as it is run by the town and they seem to love waiting lists. I only waited a couple of years to get my first mooring, 'cuz I knew somebody, but others have waited 5+ years.
I guess it would depend on which boat I used the most . . . I could possibly moor the bigger boat and trailer the '242.
Would you be getting a slip for both? or just one and trailering your Formula?
We have had overlaping boats/ 2 boats at a time, I recall my tinny/ and my parents sport boat when I was in Highschool. We also had the jet boat and sea doo at the same time...
It works best if you have a dock for both or they have specific purposes.
