2 engine batteries???

i would like to run 2 engine batteries on my boat because of the power drain night fishing with lights and aerator hooked up to still be 12 volts will this hurt anything stator, rectifer etc thanks

should be fine, just hook them up in parallel. They should be a matched set, or at least the same type and approximate age.

most outboard charging systems are limited in output, if you let the batteries get too low they may not fully charge on your run back and may need to be plugged in to a charger at home to finish charging completely.

Recommend an on board volt meter so you can keep aware of your state of charge.

use a Boat battery selector switch you can run on 2 batts to charge set it to accessorie bat to fish with lights etc and switch over to main to get home after running a while swith back to both to charge the ACC Batt
