Nice looking gelcoat MTribe! Are you planning on putting some non-skid down? I am going with white, and it's great to have an idea of what she will look like before taping off the non-skid areas.

Racingman,
It sounds like your on the right track. I am using 1.5oz. CSM and then a layer of 10oz. cloth for the deck. I am not at that stage yet, but I'll post pics whan I get there. I think you'll be suprised at how strong the glass will be after it sets. This is a great resource, and I wouldn't have thought this was possible without iboats. Keep on keepin' on!!!

Excellent info on this thread. I'm planning on laying down some fiberglass mat, gel coat and then a non skid product called kiwi grip. After that I plan to install the seats and finally install carpet that snaps down in 3 pieces.

Sorry bro..can't take credit for that. That is Drewpster's boat, he's got a nice restore thread going..you should check it out..some very patient and detailed work in there.

I'm going to be laying down Gel-Coat tomorrow in my boat, and I'm sure its not going to look as nice as Drew's, but I'm putting snap in carpet over it.
