2-stroke or 4-stroke?

I just bought a 'project' Marlin tri-hull with a Chrysler 55hp outboard. I bought a repair manual for the outboard online, but when I got it, it said it's for 2-strokes. Did I get the wrong book or could it be that I have a 2-stroke machine when I thought it was a 4-stroke? (The engine hadn't been run for a couple years and was reported to have a cracked coil.) Here's the model number: Chrysler 55718 From what I could find out, it's a 1974 engine. Ideas?

It is indeed a 2 stroke engine.
