I'm all about doing things on the cheap with the best fuel economy...

I just made the cheapest easiest wakeboard pole ever on the cheapest simplest boat ever I think.

Pole from the junk yard.

Wood from the scrap pile.

Rubber from the junk yard.

20 dollars for four ratchet straps. I already had them but I figured I 'd buy new ones for this sweet project.

1972 50 hp Johnson on a 15' Starcraft Tri hull capri pulling the whole thing. Worked freaking sweet. I think it had a better wake than a waterski inboard.

The one thing I was worried about (pole pulling/ tipping the boat sideways) was'nt that bad. You could feel it when the wakeboarder cut hard back towards the wake, but the tri hul design gave it the stability it needed to stay righted in the water.

We were clearin the wake, landing in the flats, doin 180's stompin that sheeet. It was sweeeet. Someone whos good might have been able to do some real tricks.... Folkin A. Can't wait to get out of work.

Pictures to follow.

If you don't have the imagination or the structural understanding of this concept to fathom it I guess this thread is worthless without pictures.

For those people I'll gladly get some pictures.

It's a crime to want to see your hard work?

Don't bother then. Sheesh.
