I have a 220 Mercury Offshore EFI that will not Idle, I replaced the fuel lines and filters and added injector cleaner with no success, any ideas before I take it to the shop?

Check the small vacuum hose and the small brass orifice, from the intake to the processor, sometimes a drop or two of oil will accumulate, sufficient to block the vacuum signal to lean out the mixture at idle.

Re: 200 Merc EFI.....Will not Idle

I took the injector assembly off today, the #6 (bottom) injector is not spraying equal to the other 5, talked to a local mechanic and he said it needed to be replaced, that they can not usually be cleaned??? there was alot of oil in the injector case and some build up on the lower air intakes?? I am 2-3 weeks out for the next spot at the local mechanic so I am trying to figure it out myself, I have a pretty good knowledge of motors but these computer deals are wierd, any suggestions.....The vaccum line you speak of seemed to be clear, but I will check again...Thanks for your help
