The only smoke a Verado makes at startup is from the afterburners, and if you can see it--your head's turned the wrong way. Strap one on, you'll enjoy.

I'm having the same problem with my new twin 200 Verados on the back of my 17 foot Aquasport. I wasn't quite as worried about the smoke as I was that my transom sits dangerously low in the water, I wonder if Smart Tabs would help. <br /><br />

of course, in fact i DID sell it. got $1101.01 for it. i paid 800 for the entire boat, motor and trailer package. not a bad deal, eh.<br /><br />my knowledge that i recieved from working on this motor is now invaluable to the fellow inline runners that frequent these forums, and i will share it any time you ask.<br /><br />besides, i am purchasing a 1989 80hp mariner* by mercury) 3 cylinder this weekend, so i will definately be back to these forums, of course. i have many motors and boats i am currently working on at the momment, so i am always in need of technical assisatance when i can get it!<br /><br />out.<br /><br />mike

Oh ya got me too, I looked at a 275 to repower at lunch Friday, and with my head full of plans to rob a bank or sell my blood to pay for it, I looked at this post title and almost threw away the brochure.<br />Mac<br /><br />P.S. When will iboats be getting a Semi full of used Promo motors? I'd like to be first in line.
