Hi there just bought a campion chase 190 the boat is a 95 and it has a 97 vindicator 200 . I am pretty sure its a 97 but have to run the numbers. My problem is that it runs great while in gear and above idleing but when starting and warming it has problems. The engine wont stay running very long when in neutral it seems to pop and miss then stall and when starting out I have to choke it and give it alot of throtel to get it going. Once it is up to 10mph or so it runs like a top if I run it for a while and shut it down for a few moments and then start it up again it idles good and dont need to choke it to get going. BUT if I shut it down and go swiming or stop for 15min or so its like I start all over again with the stalling and choking I have had the boat checked, carbs done new plugs, motor has 100hrs like brand new went back twice to get the carbs set and both times they needed a bit of adjustment, then motor ran great at the shop but at home in the water it wouldnt idle. Its hard starting also. I am not sure what to do next should I take it back to the shop again or what.. Oh ya I replaced the fuel pump because I broke a plastic *** on the pump from the fuel filter (the piece that the rubber hose slides on to)so it has a new fuel pump also. The only other thing I can tell u is that when I bought it it hadn't been run for 2 years so the carbs were all gummed up and wouldnt even run so thats when i took it in and had all the carbs redone..... thanx for any help you can give
