Re: 200 yamaha 1996 wont go past 1900 rpms
Interesting , I had this exact problem last summer. Come to find out, the bottom carb..(I have a 1990 70ETLD...3 cylinder 2 stroke, with 3 carbs, stacked)...... The bottom carb had a sticky or should i say a stuck float valve. The 2 top carbs were the only ones running.....Spray carb cleaner into each carb at low and high idle,,,,if it stumbles, its ok... but if it takes off that carb is starving for fuel.......Basically I had to remove the carbs and clean the bottom one out....cant find a easy way to get to them with all the crap on the engine...plus i was on vacation 1200 miles from home, working in my brothers garage for 4 hours with basic tools, carb cleaner, and an air compressor.....
