2000 225 ficht CEL on(tps?)

hi, i just bought a 2001 angler with a 225 ficht on it, runs fine. but when you first start it, it beeps for about 15-30 sec then goes off. the guy i bought it from said it was caused from the tps sticking. has anyone ran it to the same problem.<br /><br />thanks, <br />Chris

While it is beeping, what error light is illuminated?<br /><br />To find out if there are any error codes in the motor, a dealer has to hook up a laptop to it and get the computer report from the motor.<br /><br />Are you saying you did not have the motor checked out by a knowledgeable technician before you bought it?
