2000 5.7L Carb to MPI?

I have the chance to pick up a cheap 2002 5.0L Merc MPI, that I'm told is seized. Will all of the MPI related parts function properly, on a carbed 2000 Merc Vortec 5.7?

Hey,

It should, I dunno if it has a a lot of differences with your boat wiring there is an old style and new style boat wiring harness (can't remember the pin count).

Everything else you'll have from the donor motor. I just did a 350 Mag conversion. Was a pain but you'll have (should) everything you need.

If you have your engine serial number and the donor serial number you can compare the differences so you know what your getting into.

The fuel mapping maybe a little bit different between a 5.0 and 5.7.

You'll want to know if the 5.0 MPI was off an alpha or bravo engine package due to the shifting differences on some ECM models.

Both engines used Bravo 3 drives.
