2000 evinrude 150 ficht ram problems corrected?

hello, <br /> i am looking at buying a 2000 javelin with a 2000 evinrude 150 ram ficht with 50 hrs. i am aware of omc problems with 98-99 model 150 and 175. if anyone has any info about this year be gald to hear about it. i do know that omc had problems with the lower units that year. just wanted to know if the ram ficht solved the problems that omc had with the powerheads.

Howdy Walter.<br /><br />Welcome to iboats. <br /><br />I would avoid a 2000 model 150HP that has not been fully upgraded to Brunswick specs.<br /><br />I think the first Brunswick redesigned Ficht engines were 2001 models.<br /><br />Good luck.

brunswick is mercury's parent corp. they no nothing of ficht<br />buy y2k omc had finally trained techs on how to install and set up ficht outboards (yes most problems where created by techs)<br />check modle number of motor to verify year, if it is a y2k and has been serviced properly ypu should have no trouble<br />p.s to jb bombardier bought the assests of evinrude/johnson from the receiver<br />they have now form a seperate company bombardier recreational products (brp)

Was wondering if anyone has had problems with the powerheads after they have been replaced along with the oil injectors?
