I have had my local repair shop working to no avail to fix the following problem. Some $500.00 in parts in the last year! New carb kit, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel line, connectors...then told me motor is just plain worn out?

Engine runs fine with cover off. Put cover on and loads up and dies?
Also I am getting gas in the crankcase oil. As much as a pint in 5-6 hours of trolling. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!! There's plenty of experts here that I'm sure can get you going. Telling you your motor is worn out is BS. They should chime in shortly.

well i'm not a 4stroke person, but if it were 2 stroke, i would say you have a gasket leaking between the power head and leg, letting exhaust back up under the cowl. they don't like breathing the own exhaust. the fuel in oil is another matter.
