I'm disconnecting the oil pump per dealer recomendation and will just add oil into my fuel. There's a wiring harness with 4 wires (brown, gray, black, purple) coming from the bottom of the pump, do I need to disconnect this harness to disable the oil warning system.

Yes, you need to disconect that harness. Why are you disabling the oil injection? That OMS system is the best, and very reliable.

Yes disconnect the 4 wire harness at the pump, and the two wires going to the oil tank.

The tank still has plenty of oil in it so I didn't worry about disconnecting it. The fellow that I'm selling the boat to said he may get it fixed and hooked back up someday, that's the only reason I didn't remove the tank.

Overoiling can be caused by an air leak in the gasoline side of the fuel system. I would check all joints in the gasoline line, especially the seals on the main strainer under the airbox. You might just fix it.

Would an air leak cause me to have to use the primer solinoid to get the engine started after it's been sitting for a few hours?

Not necessarily. The motor could have extra oil in the carbs, from your problem + evaporation, and using the primer would help that. Of course the idle mixture could be a bit lean making the primer necessary.
