Hi All,
I'm just beginning to do my research and develop a sequential methodical troubleshooting plan.
But my basic question is this...My Check lite was coming on as many others do, at higher rpm..then eventually at lower rpm, and go out.
At one point with the motor OFF, turning the key to on (without starting or cranking motor), the System Check did its normal full 4 lites, and turned them off one at-a-time (normal sequence), THEN set the Check Engine light.
Again, the above was done several times as that was baffleing me. engine not running, the pre-check sequence validated, then the check light illuminated!
With this light setting at times, with no motor running...does this point to a connection issue or bad Vacuum switch? Yes this was happening at speed and different rpm's....but also with motor NOT running.
Thanks...
PS....Twins motors...only one acting up. seperate lines, pickups, filters--common tank. Going to run motor directly on 6gal portable initially. Also going to install Vacuum guages off each filter to see what its reading and go from there.
