Hello, my 2001 Larson 190 SEI with a VP GL and SX outdrive diesels after a good run. It has the Holley 2barrel carb on it. It idles nicely and I am wondering if an 1/8 of a turn clockwise (lean) on each side would help out. If I turn the mixture screws that much, it does not affect idle quality, it starts to change at about a 1/4 turn each. Thanks.

After a hard run, do you let it idle for a minute or so for it to cool down and burn off the excess fuel from slowing down? You should.
What's your idle rpm? Needs to be 650 to 700 rpm (in neutral) to shut down properly.
Adjusting the carb to lean causes more dieseling than to rich.

Thanks Don!!! It's been a while since I've had to do any work on a carb. The idle RPM seems to be fine. I do let it run for a minute or so normally but when we go tubing, I shut off the engine when close to the person in the water, better to be safe than sorry.
When I get it back in the water, I will richen the mixture just a touch to see if that helps.
