I was running most of the day yesterday without incident until I stopped
to throw some baits and noticed alot of smoke and even some oil on the water behind the engine. Immediately started back, and by the time I hit the dock oil was dripping out of the silencer, and leaving a smoke trail. One thing of note, just before this happened I had to tilt the motor up fairly high due to low water leaving a dock. Are there any procedures to test for too much oil?
Checked linkages and all seems ok. Motor is carbed and has remote and cowling oil tanks. Was wondering if perhaps tilting may have clogged air vent or something. Started engine this morning with flush, and still lots of smoke. Any help would be appreciated.
